One of the perks of being an employee of Phoenix Newspapers was the R&G Ranch. Our kids learned how to swim there and they also had events for holidays such as Easter, Christmas and fireworks for the 4th of July. Since I usually had to shoot the events, I would bring my kids along and maybe in this case Dad was not paying attention to what they were up to or perhaps the photo opportunity took precedence over my parental duties.
